The Academic village is an event trying to bridge the gap on cybersecurity between academic research (the kind that happens in universities and research institutions and gets published after a peer review) and other non academic circles (what academics usually refer to as "the industry", including companies, public actors, and the rest of the world outside of that).

The academic village is a free (as in gratis) event that invites all academic researchers to share their research and tries to find the most relevant and impactful discoveries so they can be brought to you. The academic village is an event separate from Security Fest arranged by the community and not Security Fest's organizers.
