Security Fest 2025

Is there a before and an after, or a happily ever after?
06-04, 10:15–10:55 (Europe/Stockholm), Main stage

Ransomware isn't going anywhere anytime soon, yet few is talking about what really happens from the inside.
Here is the story from a primarily non-technical business that got hit last year and survived.
What had we prepped, how did we prioritized, what went well and what have we changed…

When the shit hits the fan, the incident response needs to prioritize, communicate, act and survive.
But that easier said than done.
In the business, some employees are overwhelmed while others wait for normalcy. However, we all contribute to the common goal, whether it’s by ensuring critical functions works or bringing buns to keep morale high.

So, what happens after? How do we return to normal?
What did the postmortem reveal? Has anything changed?

A Ransomware incident can never be a fairy tale ending, but this is story of collective efforts that leads to improvement, just like a bedtime story it also makes us sleep better at night.
