We welcome you to propose a talk for Security Fest 2025, set in the heart of Gothenburg, Sweden! The beginning of summer in Sweden is the perfect backdrop for a vibrant conference.

Security Fest - a technical security conference

For the community, by the community: we have been going strong since 2016 bringing interesting talks, trainings and fun hacking challenges to security professionals, aficionados and students with speakers from around the world. Our idea is to gather as many friends of cybersecurity as we can into a nice venue and provide inspiring content, great food, an awesome party, fun challenges and playful villages until our budget is maxed out. The small team of organizers are all security professionals who use their free time to provide this excellent conference once a year as a way to support the growing and very warm cybersecurity community.

Join the ranks of Dave Lewis, Alethe Denis, Jim Manico, Tanya Janca, Dan Tentler, STÖK and many other excellent speakers by submitting to our CFP. If you ask anyone, they will confirm that Security Fest is a great experience for both speakers and attendees.

Security Fest is a one-track, two-day technical cybersecurity conference with talks on the most cutting-edge and interesting topics.
We would like CFP submissions to be security related and without marketing elements. We do not sell speaker slots.

Talks are normally 40 minutes including Q&A. The opening keynote is usually 60 minutes.

Our review board consists of highly experienced technical security specialists and generalists.
Proposals are anonymized during the review phase, so please refrain from including your name in the Abstract (feel free to provide more information in your speaker's bio).

We strongly encourage potential speakers to submit more than one submission on more than one topic. The more submissions you contribute, the more options you give us to pick you. Be sure your talk title and abstract define the exact topic you want to talk about and what you hope people will learn from the session. In previous years, some submissions sounded interesting but we just didn’t have enough detail for them to make the final cut. We also encourage submissions to include links to videos and slides of previous speaking engagements.

What you will get as a speaker

As a speaker at Security Fest, your travel, accommodation in Gothenburg, and food expenses will be paid for (breakfast, lunch and dinner, speakers' dinner, etc.). You will also get free admission to the conference, a nice welcome package and a special speaker's badge.
